Sakshi Shivanand is an Indian actress, who has appeared in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films. Sakshi is a hot actress who has done a lot of exposing of body mainly her legs wearing shorts and swimsuits. She has even done item songs for recent films.

Sakshi Shivanand was born on 15th April, 1977 in Mumbai. She attended school in Mumbai.

She is actually from a Kannada background and brought up and studied in Karnataka. It is surprising that she is a native south Indian girl as she looks more like a glamour doll from North Indian regions.

Sakshi Shivanand has an elder sister named Shilpa Anand, she is also an actress. Both almost look similar.

Sakshi Shivanand from her debut films has done lot of exposing of her body, legs, thighs etc. in songs and films, wearing all kinds of glamour dresses including shorts, swimsuits and also traditional south Indian sarees.

In the year 1995, Sakshi made her debut with Bollywood movie "Sanjay".

She made her dubut in Malayalm with "Indra Prastham" in 1996. Her first Tamil movie is "Pudhayal" relesed in 1997.

Her debut in Telugu was "Collector garu" opposite to Mohan babu in 1997. In the same year she acted with Chiranjeevi in a movie "Master". The film turned out to be a block buster and this helped her to garner more films.

Sakshi mostly appeared in Telugu movies. She acted with Nagarjuna Akkineni in the film Seetharamaraju. The film did average business. She also acted with Nandamuri Balakrishna in the film Vamshodarakudu.

She was roped in by A.B.C.L for the Telugu film Rajahamsha opposite Abbas.

In the year 2000, she featured in the film Yuvaraju along with Mahesh Babu and Simran.

In a career spanning more than a decade, she has acted in more South Indian films than in Hindi films.

After starring in films like Papa Kehte Hai (with Jugal Hansraj) and Zulmi (with Ajay Devgan), she moved to Tamil and Telugu cinema, where she did films with top stars like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna and Arjun.

She started her Kannada film career in Galate Aliyandiru with Shivaraj Kumar. She has already acted with all top Kannada stars like Upendra and Ravichandran.

Sakshi Sivanand shot to fame within a short span of time in Tollywood. Sakshi Sivanand married Sagar. She was suddenly disappeared from acting after her marriage.

She make her second entry in to films after marriage. She performed an item song in the 2008 released film Homam (film) which was directed by J.D. Chakravarthy.

Her sister Shilpa Shivanand also acted in a film Vishnu which was the debut for Manchu Vishnuvardhan (Mohan Babu's eldeson). The film bombed. There were rumours that Shilpa was slapped by Mohan Babu during the making of the film.

She is more prolific in the 1996-2002 period and thus missed most of the best chances to earn as an actress in this century.

She faced the camera after a long lapse of time. Saakshi had two bitter experiences in her first innings. One: Mohan Babu manhandled her for reporting late to shooting. Two: She was cheated by a land encroacher in a real estate deal.

After receiving these shocks, she left for US and settled down in software industry. But she has kept her affair with the faded hero, JD Chakravarthy all these years. It was he who convinced her for an item song in ‘Homam’.

Sakshi Shivanand is famous for being a hot glamour doll and doing roles exposing a good deal of her body in songs. She has a hit debut film Master which is not common for a debutante. She also got the rare chance to act with Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi in her first film. She has also acted with more popular actors during her time. Now she make her re-entry as an item number.

Lets wish Sakshi Sivanand good luck in her second re-entry in to films.
